Rev. Jason Robertson
Rev. Jason Robertson is the Senior Pastor of East Athens Baptist Church in Athens, TN. He previously served as Student Pastor in Mississippi and Tennessee, Pastor in Tennessee, and Lead Pastor for Hillsdale Baptist in Louisville, Kentucky. He received his bachelor's degree from Mississippi State University, and holds a Master's of Arts and Christian Education Degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Currently, Jason is pursuing his Doctorate in Ministry from Covington Seminary in Rossville, Georgia.
Jason's favorite part of ministry is to see people come to know Christ, learn to walk with Christ, and to discover their God-given gifts and abilities. He loves to partner with people as they serve together in all areas of the church. He appreciates the leadership challenges of the established church and desires to lead the church to impact its community for Christ.
Jason is married to his beautiful wife Christen Robertson, and they have three daughters and one son.
Rev. Mike Dannel is in his 39th year as Executive and Music Pastor at East Athens Baptist Church. His service to the Lord includes the teaching, ministering, and directing all of the choir and handbells programs at East Athens. He graduated from Tennessee Wesleyan College in 1978 and completed course work at Luther Rice Seminary in Christian education. Through his many years of service to the Lord, Mike has led various generations of children, youth, and adult choir and youth members to a further understand of the grace and truth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
In March of 2011 the church family ordained Mike and called him to serve as Associate Pastor and Minister of Music and Youth, and now serves as the Executive and Worship Pastor.
Mike is married to his wonderful wife Michelle Dannel, and they have two adult children: Matt and Megan.
Rev. Wayne Stowers
Rev. Wayne Stowers serves as our Family Pastor. He serves the Lord through overseeing all Children, Youth, and College Ministries. He is a graduate of Lee University Class of 2018 and is pursuing his seminary degree through Luther Rice College and Seminary. Wayne has served previously as the Student Pastor of First Baptist Church of Decherd, TN., Ministry Coordinator for Child Evangelism Fellowship of the Tennessee Valley, and Youth Pastor of Lebanon Baptist Church in Cleveland, TN.
In September of 2019, East Athens called Wayne to serve as the Family Pastor
Wayne is married to his lovely wife Kaylee Stowers, and they love serving side-by-side in ministry.
Mrs. Mary Ann Price
EABC Daycare Director
Mrs. Mary Ann Price serves as the Director of the EABC Kids Child Development Center. She has been blessed to have worked for over 26 years with preschool aged children in the Athens City and McMinn County School System, and East Athens is blessed to have her on our ministry team.
Mrs. Mary Ann says, "My family is my greatest treasure on earth." Her two sons, Tyler and Jared, have been a huge blessing in her life along with their respective wives, Amanda and Jamie. She has four beautiful grandchildren: Tucker, Rhyder, Addison, and Analeigh.
Mary Ann has been a part of the East Athens Staff since June of 2019.
Mrs. Elizabeth Lenderman
Our Administrative Assistant, Judi Marvin, has over twenty-five years of computer graphic and administrative office support experience. She and her husband, Tom, and son Chase are natives to the state of Michigan. They have resided in East TN for about 11 years and have made this beautiful area their home.
Her love for the Lord, proficiency, and personal commitment to serve has proven to be a valuable asset to East Athens.
The pastors, church committees, and members have enjoyed Judi’s sweet spirit and sense of humor. We are all excited to welcome Mrs. Judi Marvin to the East Athens Staff.
